Historic harmonised inflation – HICP inflation year pages
|
Overview of historic inflation (HICP) - This page features an overview of historic harmonised inflation year pages. The historic harmonised inflation rates are based upon the harmonised consumer price index (HICP). The index is a measure of the average price which consumers spend on a for European countries market-based ‘basket’ of goods and services. The harmonised consumer price index is published by Eurostat to compare inflation in European countries. With the help of the HICP inflation year links in the table you will be directed to a page showing:
- the annual harmonised inflation: comparing the december HICP to the december HICP of the year before and
- the average harmonised inflation: average of the monthly harmonised inflation rates of a calendar year
Using the tabs you can switch between the historic HICP inflation year page overview and the historic CPI inflation year page overview. In case you are interested in an overview of the current harmonised inflation (HICP) by country, click here.
